I was having a bad day until I saw this. I can't fucking wait.

Filled out my bracket.
Crossman's in town. I only saw him on St. Patrick's day... They played a show at the Mad Hatter. While there some guy who had just got out of prison tried to get in a fight with me, while his skinny friend flipped over trashcans behind him. It was like I was in a movie or something. I didn't know whether to laugh or to start beating some ass.
What do yall think? Missouri a good pick for taking it all? Everyone laughs at me when I say it. If not them Pitt or Syracuse.

Over the last week Bird Intelligence has been practicing a lot together. Michael Foster has joined up with us and I really like what he's been doing. We've lately been working on this song called ''Calm Hair to Gold'' that I think is fucking Sweeeeeeeeeeeettttz.

Sam and I are also getting gear to start doing our DJ set. Shit's expensive mane. So far we have a hook-up to play at Locker Room, but I eventually want us to do some stuff at Mad Hatter too (Trying to get more people out there.)

And duuuude. I'm going to Detroit Electronic Music Festival in April (or was it may?) and Pitchfork Music Festival in July. I know about 25 people who are also going to pitchfork. That's a lot.

Since Pitchfork Music Festival has started I've gone every year with a small group of friends. Every year our group gets larger and larger. Last years lineup was kind of lame and this year i'm not too pumped yet, but you know I think I'm pissed off because nothing will match the epicness of Pfork '07 when I saw Stephen Malkmus perform all Pavement songs and Sonic Youth perform Daydream Nation.

Line-up so far..

Friday, July 17

Built to Spill
The Jesus Lizard
Yo La Tengo
Tortoise

Saturday, July 18

The National
Pharoahe Monch
The Pains of Being Pure at Heart
+ many more!

Sunday, July 19

Grizzly Bear
The Walkmen
Vivian Girls
+ many more!

I'm kind of pysched for Vivian Girls, but I don't want to wait at their stage for a 15 minute set since their songs are all like a minute long... but the prospect of new material. Hmmmm

Pharaohe Monch should be sick as well and of course Built to Spill. But again I'm kinda p'od because they're not doing the All Tomorrow's Parties this year where an artist plays an entire album. Instead when you buy your ticket online you vote on which songs you want to hear from Friday's artists... and people are going to vote for the dumbest shit....

And Grizzly Bear, Yo La Tengo, and The National have already played previous years. DIVERSIFY THAT SHIT. I don't know.... if this picture doesn't shape up imma be mad.

o and spring break... damn i went to the DoD last night and listened to the shittiest music alive. I'm so sick of that shit... I was really spoiled when I lived in Athens and took it for granted. I just want to go see one god damn local show that isn't absolute shit. DAMN
